Not the markets.
Not your competitors.
Not AI.
Nobody knows what tomorrow holds.
How do you make better decisions when nobody knows?
For six years, I legally beat casinos at blackjack. Along the way, casinos named me America's Most Notorious Card Counter. You might assume my story is about gambling. It isn't.
Beating casinos taught me how to think clearly in volatility and lead through uncertainty. Today, I help organizations apply those same principles to the challenges they face every day.
My keynotes equip audiences with new ways to:
Think when certainty disappears.
Decide when the stakes are high.
Lead when everyone else is reacting.
Because the edge doesn't come from predicting the future. It comes from thinking clearly before anyone has the answers. I call that Card Counter Mindset.
“David’s fascinating story drew the audience in and held their attention, even as we approached the lunch hour. His insights about how the skills of a card counter can help anyone in business and leadership were relevant and actionable.”
Life Lessons from America’s Most Notorious Card Counter
Success in business, like in blackjack, doesn’t come from playing it safe—it comes from playing it smart. Elite card counters gain their edge by turning risk into advantage through discipline and precision. Smart leaders can do the same.
For six years, my job was to legally beat the casinos and maximize profits. I flew coach, packed disguises in my carry-on, and played through the night. Casinos named me The Most Notorious Card Counter in America, but I kept playing, and kept winning. I had to place absolute trust in math-based decisions while constantly adapting my play style to stay one step ahead of the casinos. That tension—disciplined strategy meets real-world adaptation—shaped what I now call Card Counter Mindset.
Rooted in focus, pattern recognition, risk management, and discipline, Card Counter Mindset is an adaptable framework for making better decisions under pressure and turning uncertainty into opportunity.
